War or Peace…

… it’s a personal choice!

This world has seen many wars. Too many perhaps. Humans have not stopped warring yet. Peace is a word that currently, in this holiday season especially, shows up in many ways and in many different places. However, war still prevails. It is part of the human memory to be at war and so it is manifesting still. It is part of the history that repeats itself, until such time that we humans decide to do something about it individually.

There is not much any one individual can do, or is there? I think there is the only thing any one human being can actually do that would most definitely have an impact on creation and that is to stop ALL wars within. The moment enough people have come to a sense of inner peace, critical mass will affect mass consciousness, and peace will flood the awareness of the masses. It appears that the desire for peace is great, but it seems to me that not many people actually know how to go about creating peace purposefully.

It is quite simple really. There is an inner war going on. We judge. We mostly judge ourselves by judging others. We judge and complain about the things we do not like, without understanding that we are at war with it all. (Pushing against anything is a state of war, a fight.) What exactly are we at war with? What are we resisting? The bad stuff, surely.  But that bad stuff we experience is only the reproduction, the movie-like response of our individually perceived reality. It is a direct 1:1 reflection of the energy that we bring to the world. It is a reflection of what we got going on within, a direct reflection of who we are and what we are projecting to the world. It is a reflection of us, each individual experience reflects the energies of the experiencer. So it can be said that by loving each little experience in our lives, past and present, regardless whether we liked it or not, by embracing it and loving each little bit, simply because it is a part of who we are, we end up loving ourselves. By loving each little bit, we stop fighting against it, resisting it, judging it (harshly), critiquing ourselves for the very experiences we have, as well as judging others for playing a part in the reflection of our own energies…

When we are brave enough to embrace all this, bit by bit, ugly and beautiful alike,  we cease the inner war. Eventually, the result must be inner peace and self-love. In that state, war in an outer expression ceases to be, for it cannot be reflected as it is no longer within. When critical mass is reached in the consciousness of humanity, peace will be stronger than war and the resulting world wide experience will finally be peace.

No matter whether you are called to protest against something because that is your “job” in this life, or not. Make sure the inner war stops first. Then go about what you are drawn to do in the outer, physical life. There cannot be judgment on who does what in this life. The task is a simple one, but it requires inner reflection, courage to face the uglier bits and a big enough heart to embrace them despite their not so pleasant appearance. I believe that more and more people are ready and willing to do whatever it takes. It is my firm belief that it takes self-love to achieve peace, that is a work that nobody can do for another.

Human Relationships

Recent (world wide) events have allowed me to observe human behavior in the raw. I’ve seen the correlation between events and peoples’ reactions to them. I’ve also seen very clearly that all is in relationship with each other. Relationships – that is a very loaded word. It holds so much information, good and bad, depending on anyone person’s experiences with other people. Personally, relationships and especially the romantic variety have been somewhat of a mystery to me. After many years of experiences and observations,  I’ve seen a common denominator in all human relationships and now, I feel that I may be hitting upon an underlying truth that could turn out to be just be one of those gems, a universal truth, a truth that holds true, whether one believes in it or not.

As I understand it, it’s all about energy currents. All of life in fact is about energy currents and how they are in relationship with each other. The universal law of attraction says that that which is like is drawn unto itself. This is a universal law. It is true for the smallest particles as well as the largest celestial bodies in our universe and probably in multiverses as well, although that is beyond my scope of personal experience. In the subject of human relationships, this law brings people together that have something in common, people who vibrate in a close enough frequency for the automatic attraction to happen. Love filled people will find other love filled people for example. Whatever we focus on is what we draw into our experience. I have experienced this consciously for years, and to me at least, it is true. I have seen it around me as well, and I think it actually is true for anyone.

So we meet – say it’s the romantic kind of relationship that we observe here. One person is drawn to another. The gender and orientation are a match (in whichever diverse expression matters not and ought not to be judged). Both look at each other and at the very least like what they see. Perhaps it’s instant love. Perhaps it takes a bit longer to yield to the magic of the source perspective. Yes, source perspective is what happens when we “fall in love” with another being. We observe that person through the eyes of source and source always loves unconditionally. So we love, and usually in the beginning at least, get a positive response back. (Let’s for a moment assume, that the experience of falling in love is mutual, shall we?) – Both people decide to embark on the path of romantic love and the relationship becomes conscious (it was always there, just nobody was aware of it before they met or agreed to allow love to flow.) In the ideal scenario, this blissful period (the honeymoon phase) lasts up to 2-3 years, sometimes even longer and I’ll get to that, but often just a few months before things become more difficult. Issues tend to show up. Things that didn’t bother either of the couple suddenly begin to matter and are being observed and most importantly verbally complained about. Soon enough, there are problems, quarrels, fights even and only one thing is clear, the honeymoon phase is over and, how it is often termed, “the real work begins”.

I have of course simplified things a bit here, but the standard development of a romantic relationship unfolds like that or similar. It depends on the awareness levels of the couple how they deal with their issues and what can be solved and agreed upon etc. So what happened to the honeymoon phase? To those romantic moments of bliss and connectedness? Are they forever lost? Does one have to just “get real”, come down to Earth and work through the stuff? Most professionals in the counseling field would probably see it that way.  I do not. I see a pattern that is most common in such a relationship scenario. I see that there was a current that brought both together, meaning, both people ran a current that was similar. Most often it was a current of not really loving themselves but wanting and being able to love another.

In the beginning, they gazed upon each other and bucked that current, perhaps simply because they were glad to have found a suitable mate. They bucked the current of their partner’s inability to love him or herself and loved him or her despite that forbidding current. It’s what source does – they did indeed look upon the partner through the eyes of source and achieved something incredibly difficult to maintain for a while.

The reason they could not maintain this bucking of that perpetual current of lack of self-love is simple. Human beings are not meant to buck each others’ currents forever, like source does. It’s near impossible unless one is in such perpetual alignment with source that source is who is acting through the human body (or in other words a living saint). Humans are actually meant to mirror each other, to reflect and act out what the currents of those around them are.  Now imagine! This couple – they bucked each other’s current of lack of self-love successfully for months, or even years. They shored up that lack for each other and the lack was not (always) felt. They filled the other’s heart with source love, which is nice, but it is also a classic scenario of co-dependence that has developed through this. The result is that one partner cannot live without the other’s love, and vice versa, for then one would fall back on the lack of self-love and that would hurt. So there’s a number of “co-ing” behaviors that develop around this pattern, just to uphold this energy pattern of co-dependency. This can become very stressful and draining over time. That’s because it is not how things are meant to be here in this human adventure. We are meant to show each other what currents are being offered to the world. (Yes, even the ugly bits).  It is a far greater act of love to show an unadultered current to a partner than to buck a current that is offered. Only by showing the true nature of an offered current, is the other able to see and grow through it to a greater point of awareness and ultimately independent self-love. The work that has to happen in this relationship scenario is one of training oneself into loving every little aspect of oneself and to integrate self-love. However, both partners would have to do that in order to remain attracted to each other, or the vibrations would be very different and the law that brings people together will seek other matches that are more harmonious.

Let’s assume for a moment that there is a couple who as individuals have found self-love and are offering that current to the world. Then let’s also assume that their interests and desires are a match and hence they meet. Their relationship will begin with a huge glow of the amplified energy of both hearts that join in love that is already flowing individually. Love that is not born from a sense of need, but from a sense of fulfillment within each of the partners individually. This kind of love can amplify and dance together with incredible intensity. Following the natural movement of love energy, only expansion is possible with this joining of open self-love filled hearts, as they share personal and source love in their relationship. What’s better still, neither of them has to buck the other’s current even for a moment, they can both reflect the self-love back to their partner and be in harmony with their human purpose of being a mirror for each other. Such love will last for a lifetime and beyond. It is effortless and all problems and issues that may arise will be solved through that focus of self-love and open hearts. There will be loads of fun moments, shared humor and perhaps long periods of silence, during which in mutual understanding, there is nothing to say, but only love to feel.

Some people meet in the first circumstances and through the bucking of the non-self-love current are inspired to find self love. Those are the ones where it may be blissful, then wobble but lead to a more aware form of self-love within each partner, thereby untangling the co-dependent nature of their relationship and the experience of such an untanglement will always be a sense of incredible relief and appreciation for each other to have been an invaluable catalyst in the growth journey.

Be it as it may – all scenarios (and there are definitely variations I have not mentioned here) are valid. None are better than the other. All are an experience worthy of having gone through. Ultimately, it all depends what an individual desires for their relationship(s). That sets the tone for the unfolding of the experience. Whether relationships are romantic in nature, or simply human interactions, one thing is certain. When we are independently free and self-sustaining with our need for love, we will as human race evolve into a more peaceful society, in which the basis for mirroring that which we have evolved into is love and not war.

This brings me back to the current worldwide events of war, terror, fear, and more. These are but a reflection of the currents we offer to the world and each other. Sure, there is potential for love and sure, many reports speak of this love for their next “neighbor”. However, does it not suggest to love the neighbor like we love ourselves? – that part gets forgotten too often in my opinion. True change in the world happens within, for when change comes in form of a changed current that we offer to the world, the reflection thereof will naturally be different – for that is how it works.

In short, if I want to experience love, I must love myself. If I want to experience peace, I must be at peace with myself. Humanity has been at war for a very long time and it did not stop with the end of WWII by the way. We humans are at war within our hearts. The perpetual focus and need to share what bothers us is still too strong. The focus on what is good is unpracticed as of yet, but more and more, I see people tired of complaining and pointing to the obvious negative. Instead of asking, “what would be the worst that could happen?”, which comes so easily to our minds, we can train ourselves to ask instead: “what would be the best that could happen?” – and to me, the best would be a world filled with peaceful, self-loving individuals that strive to learn, and evolve in the arts, science, and technologies for the sheer joy of evolving, which would eliminate any and all competition but support each other’s dreams to the full extent by simply being natural reflectors for each other. I may not live to see this kind of humanity in this body, but one day, I trust it will become reality.

The reason we are growing and expanding in our essence is not because we aren’t big enough or not good enough, not smart enough or still too ignorant, but because it simply is our true nature of being in a state of perpetual expansion. By embracing our own true state of expansiveness, without attributing to it the assumption that we were less than perfect at any time before now, we can reach a state of allowing self-love to flow.

For years now I have kept my blog posts free of politics. Do not fear, this one will also be kept free of politics, even if the title potentially suggests otherwise. It seems to me that humanity has a chance these days to look at some core beliefs about race. From my point of view, these core beliefs about race are not only intimately linked to the color of one’s skin, or other physical features, but have a distinct patterning that affects an individual’s identity.

The reasons why any point of source would choose to incarnate in one particular physical expression over another are many. In essence it is always this: The chosen physical “look” matches 100% that which a source point has intended to experience. Period. It’s that simple. It’s perfection.

Racism is this trend that has been going on within humanity for a great number of years, thousands of years actually. There have been many cries for it to stop. The creation of a humanity who can peacefully co-exist in all facets of diversity has already happened in non-physical. It is possible to attract the changes that will ultimately allow this magnificent creation of such a humanity into physical expression. Any form of outward action (unless that makes you deliriously happy, then it’s your calling to jump into action) will only fuel racism, for racism begins within.

I am sorely aware, that this lifetime in this caucasian body doesn’t really give me much entitlement to even speak about racism, since it’s the white folks who have perpetrated so many racial “no-no-s”. It is interesting to note that my cell information of “caucasian” tells me that I am guilty of said perpetrated atrocities, even if my personal beliefs only speak of humans, regardless of skin color or otherwise distinguishing features. Yes, being in a caucasian body brings the filter of being guilty. That’s the moment where racism starts – right there. That’s where I am noticing a difference between those who are not of caucasian cell information vs. myself. This negative emotional feedback (in my case guilt) is a clear indication that the identification with “caucasian” holds a belief pattern that is a misalignment with source frequency. Source does not identify with skin color but only rejoices in diversity.

I look at racial patterning as something we come into an incarnation with. It doesn’t matter what our personal beliefs are, the cells hold a racial pattern that speaks of ancient experiences that have been going on for thousands of years. Depending on the diversity of your ancestry, there are numerous patterns that overlay and form a specific racial filter through which you can either simply experience your life (like a preset), or you can choose to evolve beyond it by consciously changing your own racial beliefs and implement those to form a different filter through which you experience your life.

You may wonder whether it is possible to affect the cellular memory by changing a belief pattern and I can easily confirm that you can. A belief is a thought you keep thinking. That which you look at is what registers as a thought. If you look at the racial issues that are being experienced in any part of the world, you will look at racism. If you look at racism, your own pattern of racism (yes we all have them still) will come to the fore. When that happens, and you become conscious of your racial patterning, relax for a moment. Relax into the presence of those patterns. They are an information on the cellular level that you have come into this body with. There is no need to fight them. In fact, if you want to see racism gone from humanity, start by focusing on loving acceptance of your own inner racial patterning. No matter whether that has the information of “victim” or “perpetrator” – it really doesn’t matter what the race is, or how you experience the patterning. What really matters is that you can find acceptance, and then self-love of that racial patterning by looking at yourself in a loving and accepting manner often (very often)…

If you do this practice often enough, and moving into acceptance rather than staying in racism seems to be a worthy cause to me, such acceptance becomes a pattern of its own. Then you are indeed a (r)evolutionary genius who is contributing to general acceptance of any race. I see the potential that if many many (did I say many!) people would busy themselves with such acceptance, racism will cease to be an experience on this planet. A goal that fills me with such joy that I cannot help but ask you all to give this some thought, and perhaps find acceptance of your own racial self, no matter the color, no matter the many ancestral points of origin. Ultimately, it’s all the same, just in many different facets that bring such diverse experiences. A joy to look at really!

When Judgment Strikes

It’s been quite a while since judgment showed up in my experience, but it seems that about once or twice a year, it pleases others to pass judgment on me. Judgment to me is like acid on the fabric of my creation. It feels bad. It feels bad, because I don’t wish to be judged and when I encounter judgment toward my person, my decisions, my way of life, it hurts. Plain and simple, I hear the words from others and adopt them for a brief time to be my own thoughts and they are so far removed from what my source thinks of me, that the misalignment is sudden and intense. It’s not just a wobble, no, it throws me for a loop and my heart aches.

First, I flop over and take the hit, then I have to see that the judgment is in its essence but a point of view another human being is voicing. Most certainly, that other point of view is not based on the full awareness of who I am or what I am all about. How could it be? Allowing of the different point of view seeps into my awareness and eases some of the pain. Immediately, considering the source of the words that had come into my reality, I realize that they have value. I see possible motives for their harsh judgments on me, which doesn’t make my pain less per se, but seeing possible motives helps me steer my thoughts back into the waters of my source.

Source never sees anything wrong with anybody. Source only sees different expressions of itself. Source allows. Humans don’t allow so much and they have their own way of perceiving. I could opt to fight this judgment that has come so suddenly into my awareness and I can choose to have a reality with that kind of experience or one without. For now, I realize that to have one without, it is most likely the case that the very same judgments I would attract if I feared to be judged, would be uttered without my knowing, behind my back. It remains my choice, where I put my focus. It remains my choice whether or not I allow myself to be affected by the judgments or just remember the human point of perspective from which they sprung forth. That perspective is as interesting as my own, whether I like it or not. It is however my prerogative to decide what my preference in this regard is and I opt to not judge those who judge. I opt to allow judgments to flow through me, fully knowing that although it looks like it’s the judgment that hurts, it actually is not. The judgment on its own does not hurt. It’s the web of thoughts that are triggered by it. The fact that there is something that can be triggered, means nothing other than that I have a point of attraction within me that invites this experience. Time to go within, look at what funny stuff I got going on within and focus on its improvement.

It’s good to remember that everything in my experience is my creation, even if it seems to come from the outside. It’s good to know that without a point of attraction, there could not be that experience. It’s absolutely glorious to see how the judgers have opted to be cooperative components in my reality to bring my awareness to something I can now adjust and live more aware, freer yet, and more peaceful within myself for their help. Immense appreciation to all who opt to judge me and my actions, my motives, and my expressions, for all you show me is that there are smidges of self-judgment left within that attract these scenarios. Onward to ever greater awareness, to ever expanding ability for self-love.

The Importance of Ego

Let’s face it, ego has a pretty bad rep these days. There are countless opinions that strive towards doing away with it altogether. There are methods praised for eliminating the ego and laments criss cross the vast (spiritual?) blogosphere of the internet commenting on how we need to battle the ego, fight it, crush it perhaps, and so on.

From my experience, and I have tried the above as well during my meandering journey through the different stages and opinions, ego hasn’t left me yet. Ego is here to stay. I would have possibly been even able to deny its existence altogether (or thought that I did), but it has that uncanny knack of popping up when you least expect it and if it’s been suppressed long and hard enough, it will wreck havoc upon return. I say this, because I have lived it, experienced it and know it to be so – for myself anyway. (and that’s ego speaking right here).

Ego is brilliant. Ego pulls us out of the depth of despair, helps us survive the most atrocious events and relentlessly puts us out there onto the stage of life time after time. I have gone through many stages regarding ego and found one place, where I am truly at peace and happy with it. That is in full acceptance of my ego’s worth. Ego too wants to be loved, like everything else. Ego is not just some silly, useless thing that we bring along into our incarnation and that needs to be removed like an ugly wart or something.

Ego is our helper. Ego allows contrast to be fully believed and completes the illusion of duality in the most precise and perfect manner. How else would we, limitless energetic consciousness or pure positive energy incarnated, be able to fully believe that we are limited? How else could we buy into the illusion that somebody is doing something to us? How else would we navigate here on Earth and be practical duality focused human beings having an amazing contrasting experience that gives rise to brilliant and marvellous expansion in non-physical? Ego makes all this possible and it is time in my opinion to debunk the belief that ego is something to be feared, something to be eliminated or something to wish away.

I embrace my ego in full awareness of its amazing service to my source. Every person has an ego and every person has that ego for a reason, or it would not be there. Non-physical’s creations are always precise, necessary and perfect for the intention at the basis of that creation. That is of course only a belief I hold, and you may not hold that same belief, but since I have come to hold this belief, my ego has calmed itself down to a level of companionable friendship, which works very well for me and my journey.

There are moments, when it tries to puff up and rear its head. That’s the moment when I feel prideful beyond that which is necessary. When I sense the twinge of “off” as my source’s feedback to such a moment of self-aggrandizement, I grin in appreciation for the emotional guidance and send my ego off to a beautiful island, complete with hammock and umbrella-drink, to take a vacation, to go rest a bit; but I allow it to check back in later. Ego is usually very happy to go there, for after taking on the whole navigation and management of my incarnation in the early years of my life, it is pretty tired of it and mighty glad not to have to do that anymore.

I guess what I am saying is this: ego is an integral part of you in human form, love it, accept it, treat it well, as that is always a gesture towards alignment and self-love, which in turn, will always feel good.

Our Natural State of Being

So many voices have said the same thing over the past few thousand years. You just got to love yourself. Easily said, yet so difficult to accomplish, isn’t it? Or is it?

I believe that we have received many conditioning instructions over the stretch of time we have incarnated in these physical bodies here on Earth. Among them are instructions to be humble and discrete and all that nice manner stuff etc. Frankly, I find that manners are well and wonderful, but they do keep us from the audacity to be bold enough to extend the love to our Selves. It is through self-love that we can enter a state of liberation that allows us to function compassionately within the societies that we call our own. Manners are then a matter of awakened consciousness and not “training”.  Why, I ask myself, is it so difficult to reach this place of self-love? I would say we ALL are very loveable beings. What’s so loveable about us, us humans who are doing such unloveable deeds at times? It is our essence, our souls that are made of unconditional love that are so infinitely loveable.

There are ways to reach a place of activating the heart to experience true unconditional love, away from any condition, purpose, intent or desire – there are these souls who come in cuddly, cute infant bodies you know, they are so easily loved. The wee ones, yes the babies (of all species) have this uncanny knack of opening our hearts and love them no matter how loud their cry or soiled their diaper. Other things make us love unconditionally too. Encountering soul-companions or members of our soul groups for sure will trigger this uncanny emotion of “just love”. All we have to do is pay attention to when this sensation pops up. We can also remember when it did pop up some time in the past and go back in time to re-experience that rush. Then, (I dare you to try it) experience that love for yourself – give it to your soul, to your physical body, to the lower self, to every little bit that is YOU. Just because – You deserve it – Period.

If you exercise and practice this state of self-love, more and more (make sure it’s not attached to any condition or desired outcome – remember, “just because”)…. it becomes the natural state of being. In this natural state of being, something rather natural happens. The experience of passing time falls away – which means nothing other than that you’ve found the NOW. To top that, you’re most certainly “Here”, wherever that is. To be in this state of unconditional love, here and now is exactly our natural state of being and we don’t really have to practice that at all. We just have to remember how it feels and how to get there should we (by silly chance ?) have found ourselves to be not exactly there.

From this focal point, this natural state of being, there is no halting the wave of love, there is no dimming the light that we are.
